One, Two, Three and Away!
Orthographix: Click on unfamiliar words to SEE the graphemes, HEAR the phonemes! Test a sample page here
Miss Emma - the Neurodivergent Reading Whisperer - has developed a way for really young children to learn to read with the 1,2,3 and Away! books!
An innovative interactive library soon launches - click on words to see them 'mapped' and hear Miss Emma 'follow the sounds to say the word'
- this develops something called 'orthographic knowledge' which allows children to not only store the words in their 'brain word bank' but also recognise spelling patterns, and more easily figure out other words in the future. This is something phonics programmes are trying to do, but often don't.
Miss Emma is mapping all of these books for the library! The mapping helps children develop orthographic knowledge.
Order them in hard copy form and focus on reading for pleasure.
